2D to 3D conversion
Sometimes it may be that you only have 2D drawings or sketches. In this case Midland Prototyping can convert your 2D design into 3D data for you, quickly and efficiently.
Many customers still have old 2D drawings that pre date modern 3D Modelling CAD systems. And some have 2D AutoCAD files and drawings. This can be a problem when wanting to manufacture on modern CNC machines or 3D printing for rapid prototyping.
Our CAD Engineer will take your 2D drawings and create the 3D parts and assemblies, only allowing for electronic storage and modern manufacture of your design.
Not only that, but 3D assemblies can be checked for conflicting parts or errors in the design before committing to manufacture.

Being specialists in rapid prototyping Pattern Making and plastic injection moulding. We are able to design most of our tooling and master patterns for various types of applications such as GRP tooling and tools cut from high density tooling board on CNC Milling machines.
